Estate Planning Upon Retirement

If you have recently retired, or you are on the cusp of retiring, you are at a point where a review of your existing estate plan (or the creation of one if you haven’t done it already) is highly advisable.  If you’ve already done estate planning, it’s a good time to sit down with an attorney and go over what was done originally, why it was done, and discuss any desired changes.

An attorney can also explain any changes that have taken place in the law, and discuss any possible estate tax issues, while proposing alternate planning options if such options make sense for you.  If you don’t have an estate plan, it’s a perfect time to sit down with an attorney and talk about your wishes for your estate going forward.

Everyone’s situation is different when they retire, which is why it is best to sit down with an attorney experienced in estate planning, so that you may be properly advised of all options and pitfalls.  The attorneys at Deal Law, PLLC, are ready to jump in and help you make informed decisions.  Call (336) 584-4448, or click here to schedule an appointment
